NO EASY WAY OUT

After a long exhausting day in the ED, Jacob is now resting in the PICU. He is hooked up to a continuous EEG and is receiving a continuous IV seizure medication (Versed) to stop his seizures. Joakim, who is holding down the fort tonight, just called and said that the EEG is very active. It looks as if Jacob is in status epilepticus. We have been in this scary place before, and know that there is no easy way out of it for Jacob. He needs all your positive strength, vibes and prayers tonight and and in the coming days and weeks.

Much love,

Maria.

  1. Maria, in a time like this it is hard to find the right words to comfort, inspire and support this point in time in the journey you are traveling with Jacob. He is blessed to have your healing hands, your love, and your strength! I pray for wisdom as the doctors huddle around to care for him. I pray for the strongest strength to guide and comfort Jacob, you and all those around you. I pray for peace to surround you like a warm blanket inspiring the courage to get through one more moment. Hugs, Michelle

    1. Thank you so much, Jac. I know our journeys are different, but also similar in so many ways. I miss you all. This would have been the time for me to come and support you instead of both of our boys fighting at the same time. I love you, and miss you dearly every day.
