IMPROVING

Things are slowly improving. Jacob could stop morphine yesterday, but is still on pain killers. The incision is right under his ribs, so it's painful as he breathes,cries or laughs.
We got home late last night at last, and it's always a good feeling when we're all in one location. We're taking it easy this weekend, letting Jacob recover. The surgeon told us 4-5 days for the incision to heal. We heard the same about the botox, 4-5 days before we see the full effect of the injection.
Many of you wrote me how hard it is to think about Jacob being in pain as he is so naturally happy. Right now, we're able to keep him pretty comfortable as long as we give him the pain killers as soon as they're due. We also need to give him a few more days to simply regain strength.
I will keep you posted on his progress.
